The main issue when renovating your home is practicality. A place that is unusable and badly configured can become a pleasant place to live.
Rehabilitation work also serves to improve the aesthetic aspect of a building, whether it is an exterior or interior renovation.
Finally, the aim is to make the occupants safe. This may involve bringing an ageing electrical system up to standard or restoring a roof structure that has been seriously weakened by pests.
The renovation of a dwelling can be partial (e.g. facade renovation, roof renovation, insulation/heating) or comprehensive (e.g. conversion of a barn into a dwelling, complete renovation of a townhouse, refurbishment of an old flat, etc.).
3 fountains have already been renovated. For the summer of 2019, it was decided to work on the "stone fountain" and to start the development of the fountain circuit.
Renovation of the roof and zinc work, paving of the ground around the fountain, connection to the spring for a permanent supply of water to the basin, plastering of the walls, landscaping around the fountain, creation and installation of a heritage information panel. The young people will also be asked to maintain the footpaths starting from the fountain, to maintain them and possibly to re-mark them. They will participate in the creation and installation of an information panel on the possible hikes/walks starting from the fountain.
NB: As far as the type of roof is concerned, we had a choice between slate, zinc and other types. To find out more about the different roofs, you can take a look here .
